English Art Camp
This art camp offers an alternative way of teaching, where the children can let their creativity run free. Furthermore there is a possibility to learn with different mediums which combine image and text together. Supported and coordinated by our native speakers, the children will be learning English and using the foreign language to express themselves.
We combine the English language with creative drawing, painting, arts and crafts, photography and a visit to the museum Folkwang. It doesn’t matter if it’s with paper and pen, chalk, colourful finger-painting or composing a photograph- there will be space to let your own ideas run freely.
English appropriate topics will be chosen by the teachers and based around the children’s needs. We will be speaking English throughout the whole of the camp in order to allow the children to speak English freely and intuitive, using the vocabulary which will be taught in English lessons. We make sure there is a relaxing and friendly atmosphere throughout the camp, so that the children can work creatively alone as well as in groups.
09:00 am – 12:00 noon – Lively English lesson
12:00 noon – 1:00 pm – Lunch
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Speak and be creative
Mornings: At the start of the day we will play games so that we can get to know each other and decide what creative things we will get up to during the day. This way we have a friendly and open way to learning English. We will learn new vocabulary and do different exercises to practise the appropriate topics in English.
Afternoons: In the afternoon we will use our creativity and different material to make, draw, paint, build and speak about art. We will combine the vocabulary and topics which we learnt in the morning lesson to speak free and fluently in English.
Our language trainers are motivated native speakers and certified educationalists.
